Almoravids' Koubba
Almoravids’ Koubba, also known as Koubba El‑Baadiyin, is a rare architectural gem dating back to the 12th century and the only surviving monument from the Almoravid dynasty in Marrakech. Originally part of the ablution complex of the Ben Youssef Mosque, its elegant dome and intricate carvings showcase early North African artistry. Though modest in size, the Koubba offers a fascinating glimpse into the city’s origins, standing as a unique testimony to Marrakech’s medieval heritage and Islamic architectural tradition.
